Project of The Month: Chapman and Cutler
Around the corner from Chicago's Union Station, nationally acclaimed law firm Chapman and Cutler LLP has found its new home at 320 S. Canal Street. Occupying three floors in this newly constructed 50-story building, their office features floor-to-ceiling windows with unobstructed views of Chicago's skyline and innovative working environments.
This is a monumental step for Chapman and Cutler, as they haven't moved their Chicago location in over a century! But while their firm may have a rich history, Chapman and Cutler remains focused on the future, investing in their new space to stay ahead of changing workplace dynamics.
Working with design firm Perkins+Will and Newmark’s project management team, Corporate Concepts was challenged to find solutions that prioritize efficiency and cater to a flexible hybrid working style for their employees. Collaboration is at the heart of Chapman and Cutler's mission, so building environments designed for conversation and teamwork was crucial.
Plus, to keep up with the demands of the hiring market, Chapman and Cutler wanted their office to be attractive to both job seekers and their current team. They invested in employee-focused solutions to offer an adaptable, comfortable, and healthy workspace.
Their office features 79 workstations, 159 private offices, and several collaborative spaces. To outfit these areas, Corporate Concepts utilized:
- Customized Reff Offices and Workstations by Knoll
- Locally fabricated glassboards from Skyline Design
- Knoll Generation Task Seating
- Additional ancillary pieces from Knoll, Wilkhan, Geiger, Bernhardt, and Stylex
