Located in Lakeview East, where the Chicago River and Lake Michigan meet, sits Cirrus, a 47-story, 350-united luxury condominium tower, and Cascade, a 503-unit luxury apartment tower.

Developed and built by Lendlease and Magellan Development Group and designed by BKL Architecture, these prominent towers feature protected lake, river, and city views and boast 48,000 square feet of exclusive amenities, including a 41st-floor suite for indoor and outdooring dining and entertainment.

In working closely with the project team, we developed a comprehensive furniture solution for several different space types while focusing on a clean, modern aesthetic that complimented the stature of the building's views and architecture.

Areas for Community

The vast amenity areas have numerous spots for communal gatherings for various group sizes and settings. Thoughtfully curated furniture solutions like the classic Eames Chairs from Herman Miller create desirable gathering areas in various kitchen and dining areas and offer a comfortable spot for a morning coffee or evening social gathering. At the entry point to the amenity space, the feeling of a high-end hospitality space welcomes visitors into the room and offers a touch-down spot for residents.

Areas for Respite

Despite being a bustling building in the heart of Chicago, the amenities at these buildings offer peaceful areas for respite and retreat. A feature indoor fireplace is flanked by lounge seating and expansive views of Lake Michigan, while an indoor garden features greenery and outdoor views. No matter the season, these spaces offer a connection to nature and the outdoors.

Areas for Play

Cirrus and Cascade offer a dedicated play area for residents with children. It features sculptural foam furniture pieces complimented by Knoll Risom table and chairs sized appropriately for the target audience here. Meanwhile, residents of all ages can watch a movie or a big game in one of several areas with large TV and lounge furniture setups or challenge a friend or family member to a game of shuffleboard or pool. Our team sourced solutions for these pieces that fit the elevated design of the space and offered proper durability for this setting.
